Scalp Micropigmentation

Scalp Micropigmentation is a non-invasive treatment that uses detailed micro-needles to deposit pigment into the scalp. The result creates the appearance of tiny hair follicles that help thicken and restore the look of fuller hair.

When administered by a trained and licensed specialist, the Scalp Micropigmentation treatment can restore receded hairlines, thicken remaining hair, camouflage transplant scarring, and create the look of close-cropped hair.

Scalp Micropigmentation is also effective for those suffering from minor hair thinning or recession.  By accurately replicating your own natural hair follicles and hair color, Scalp Micropigmentation can help strengthen and add density to thinning areas, creating an undetectable illusion of thicker, stronger hair.  Scalp Micropigmentation requires little to no continued maintenance and carries no strict lifestyle or daily restrictions.

Cost of Scalp Micropigmentation is quoted upon consultation.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT IS SCALP MICROPIGMENTATION ?

Scalp Micropigmentation, or SMP, is a tiny follicle like dots tattooed on the scalp to mimic a shaved down look. The procedure will fade over time and recommended touch ups around 5-7 years. Can be done to recreate hairline, fill in density, or camouflage scars.

ARE CONSULTATIONS FREE?

Yes, all of our consultations are free of charge. Please remember to cancel your consultation if you will not make it so we can offer to appointment to someone else.

WHAT HAPPENS IN THE CONSULTATION?

In the consultation, we will determine your stage of hair loss. Analyze your skin and hair density and decide if SMP is the right treatment for you. If we feel as though we can meet your expectations, we will go ahead and book the procedure.

WILL I HAVE TO CONTINUE TO SHAVE MY HEAD?

If you are recreating your hairline with SMP, you will have to commit to keeping a shaved down haircut. It is recommended to shave 2-3 times a week to keep the results looking natural. When there is too much length, there will be contrast between hair and the SMP impressions.

WILL SMP DAMAGE THE EXISTING HAIR FOLLICLES?

No, SMP does no damage to existing hair follicles. It will not prevent any new growth either.

HOW MANY SESSIONS ARE NEEDED?

You will need 2-4 sessions to achieve the final results. In very rare cases (severe alopecia), even more. This just depends of how the skin retains the pigment and the size of the area we are treating. Its easy to add and darken the procedure, we never want to be in a situation where its too dark/dense.

IS THERE ANY RISK OF INFECTION?

All of our tools are sterilized to the highest standards, & everything else is disposed of. As long  as your follow aftercare instructions, you should have no problems at all with your healing.

CAN WOMEN GET SCALP MICROPIGMENTATION?

Yes, women and men can get this procedure done as a density treatment inside the existing hair. This will give the illusion of a more full head of hair. Hair does not have to be shaved or cut down in anyway to have this treatment done.

DOES HUE OFFER FINANCING?

Yes! We have a credit check free financing option made available to any clients with procedures over $1500.

PRE-CARE INSTRUCTIONS

We aim for total and complete satisfaction, so we want to provide you with the following pre-care instructions.

Following these guidelines will ensure that you have prepared your scalp as best as possible to receive optimal results.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us today.

  • Wash your scalp with a non-abrasive, gentle shampoo the week prior to your procedure.

    • *NOTE: We are not a medical establishment so we are not allowed to suggest what to use for any problems or disorders.  Instead, see a dermatologist or medical doctor to resolve this issue prior to your procedure.

  • After washing the scalp, moisturize the skin with some form of skin moisturizer to keep the skin hydrated. Doing so will allow the ink to be properly absorbed.

  • Refrain from sun tanning to avoid burning and peeling of the skin.

  • Focus on relaxing and get a good nights rest before your procedure.

  • Eat a hearty meal before your procedure.

  • If you are extremely sensitive to pain, seek medical advice prior to procedure.

  • You may bring a clean hat or scarf to loosely cover your head after the treatment, if so desired, but not recommended.

  • Hair Piece - Please do not wear a hair piece at least 5-7 days prior to your scheduled procedure. As wearing a hair piece may limit oxygen flow to the scalp and the ink may not be fully absorbed into the follicle.

  • Hair Length - Please contact your artist prior to the procedure to discuss proper hair length the day of the scheduled procedure.

  • Hair preparation - Please do not use a razor on your scalp within 24 hours of the scheduled procedure.  It is critical that we see all native hair in order to properly blend the hair follicles.

A healthy scalp will be helpful in achieving the best results!
